Descrição: In this letter, we present a parity-preserving <math>QED_{3}\,\!</math> with spontaneous breaking of a local <math>U(1)\,\!</math> -symmetry. The breaking is accomplished by a potential of the <math>\varphi^6\,\!</math> -type. It is shown that a net attractive interaction appears in the Moller scattering (between two electrons with opposite spin polarisations) as mediated by the gauge field and a Higgs scalar. This might favour a pair-condensation mechanism.
