<dd>We present the first systematic in situ &lt;math&gt;\operatorname{{}^{119}Sn}&lt;/math&gt; Mössbauer studies on vapor quenched amorphous &lt;math&gt;\operatorname{Mn_xSn_{1-x}}(0,09 \le x\le 0.95)&lt;/math&gt; A comparison of the values of the isomer shift and quadrupole splitting at different concentrations x with those of related MnSn intermetallic compounds suggests the existence of a crystalline like short range order in this amorphous system.</dd>
