- Derivation of Coulomb excitation cross sections at Relativistic energies is presented for the case where both projectile and target are considered as extended objects. Cross sections for projectile and/or target excitations are calculated as a function of bombarding energy in the context of a covariant theory. Several systems are analysed and compared with available data.
