- Skyrmions of large topological quantum number, N, or large energy scale, <math>f_\pi \,\!</math> are studied in general relativity. No stable or metastable solutions are found between the nucleon with N = 1 and mini-black holes with <math>N \sim M _{Planck} /f_\pi\,\!</math> . On the nuclear scale <math>(f_\pi \sim 90 MeV)\,\!</math> this corresponds to <math>N \sim 10^{19}\,\!</math>.
