- There are two different cases in <math>\vec{{k}}\,\!</math>-space for tachyon quantization, namely: when <math>| \vec{{k}}\,|^{2} > m^{2}\,\!</math> and when <math>|k^{2}| < m^{2}\,\!</math>. We concentrate our discussion on the second case, for which we write the hamiltonian, which is different from the usual harmonic oscillator one, and solve the corresponding eigenvalue equation. The spectrum is continuous and we find the energy creation and destruction operators.
