- This letter studies the <math>Sp(2)\,\!</math> covariant quantisation of gauge theories. The geometrical interpretation of gauge theories in terms of quasi principal fibre bundles <math>Q(M_{s},G_{s})\,\!</math> is reviewed. It is then described the <math>Sp(2)\,\!</math> algebra of ordinary Yang-Mills theory. A consistent formulation of covariant lagrqangian quantisation for general gauge theories based on <math>Sp(2)\,\! </math> BRST symmetry is established. The original <math>N = 1\,\!</math> , ten dimensional superparticle is considered as an example of infinitely reducible gauge algebras, and given explicitly its <math>Sp(2)\,\!</math> BRST invariant action.
