Descrição: For the massive <math>(\lambda\varphi^{4})_{D}\,\!</math> vector N-component model, in the large N limit we check that there is no first order phase transition induced by the thermal renormalized coupling constant whatever is the dimension D. Moreover for D=3 we are able to give an exact formula for the temperature behavior of the coupling constant
