Descripción: We study numerically the scaling behavior associated with M-furcations (M =3, 4,5) in the map <math>x_{t+1} =1 -a |x_t|^z(z >1)\,\!</math>. The scaling constants <math>\delta\,\!</math> and <math>\alpha\,\!</math>, as function of z, are calculated, as well as the more general scaling functions <math>\sigma\,\!</math> and f(a).
