- We numerically discuss the ideal paramagnet (N noninteracting localized spins in the presence of an external magnetic field) within the recently generalized statistical mechanics framework (canonical ensemble). Both specific heat (generalized Schottky anomaly) and isothermal magnetic susceptibility (generalized Curie law) are calculated, in particular, close to the thermodynamic limit (N > 1). Evidence for the existence of such limit is provided for the first time within the generalized statistics. In addition to this, within a molecular-field approximation, we have generalized the Curie-Weiss law.
