# **Características da Produção Hadrônica de Mésons D\* ±**

## **Abstract**

O experimento E769 no Fermilab, usando um feixe de 250 GeV/c de hádrons identificados incidentes em folhas finas de Be, Al, Cu e W, mediu as distribuições em xF e P\_t^2 de D\*± no canal de decaimento D\*+ → D^0 π+, D^0 → K^- π+. Ajustando as distribuições com as funções 〖A(1 – xF)〗^n e B exp (-〖bp〗\_t^2) determinamos n = 3.84 ± 0.20 ± 0.06 e b= 0.748 ± 0.034 ± 0.009, respectivamente. Não observamos um efeito de leading particle significante como foi sugerido por experimentos anteriores. Determinamos a dependência da seção de choque total com o número atômico de massa como sendo A^(0.98±0.05±0.04). As medidas se basearam em 351 ± 16 eventos de mésons D\*± totalmente reconstruídos, induzidos por feixes de π± e K±. Está é a maior amostra disponível de D\*± produzidos com feixe de hádrons.
