- We show that the non-resonant contribution to non-leptonic charm meson decays cannot be considered constant in the phase space of the reaction as it usually is. We argue that this is relevant for any weak reaction. We discuss in detail the decay <math>D^{+} \rightarrow K^{-}\pi ^{+}\pi^{+}\,\!</math>.
