<dd>A matrix method has been applied to solve the electron equation of motion in electric and magnetic fields. The analogy between this problem and that of an ensemble of nuclear spins in a magnetic field, described by the Bloch equations, leads to transient solutions similar to spin echoes, which we shall call ''current echoes'', a phenomenon not yet observed experimentally. In a configuration of static and oscillating fields, the components of the Hall current are calculated in the rotating reference frame. Then we consider transverse pulsed magnetic fields and derive expressions for the transient effects.</dd>
