Description
The magnetic superconductor <math>Y_9Co_7\,\!</math> presents in its structure magnetic and non magnetic Co atoms. A search was made of the <math>^{59}Co \,\!</math> NMR lines attributed in the literature to magnetic Co atoms, with negative results. For the strong <math>^{59}Co \,\!</math> NMR line arising from nuclei of non-magnetic Co atoms the relaxation times <math>T_1\,\!</math> and <math>T_2\,\!</math> versus temperature were measured directly at 6.5 MHz and 9.0 MHz. A linear dependence on temperature was observed for <math>1/T_1\,\!</math> which can be attributed to interactions with conduction electrons. <math>1/T_2\,\!</math> is not linear with temperature, an effect that is related to the temperature dependence of the magnetization.
