- We show that the resonant excitation of localized vibrational modes by microwaves recently reported in DNA, cannot acccount for the enhancement of the mutation rate observed in viruses irradiated with microwaves of 130 MHz. This conclusion was obtained within the tautomeric shift model of mutations.
