<dd>We propose a recurrent method to simultaneously calculate the characters and the irreducible representations of finite solvable groups. The representations of a normal subgroup are used as well as in the traditional induction procedure. However, our method is applicable even when the stabilizer of the representations of the subgroup is the group itself and it has the advantage that the representations obtained are already symmetry adapted to the composition series of the group.</dd>
