<dd>The nucleation model is used to simulate nuclear fragmentation processes. The "critical" value of the effective interaction radius is shown to vary linearly with the expansion factor &lt;math&gt;\alpha&lt;/math&gt; . The calculated mass and charge distributions are compared with some experimental data.</dd>
