- We show that the Thomas-precession model for polarization asymmetry in inclusive hadron production fails to explain the experimental data when hyperons are produced at small momentum fraction of the incident particles due to the strong dependence of the model on the masses of sea quarks and <math>x_F\!\,</math> , the fraction of momentum carried by the outgoing hyperon.
