<dd>The present paper is proposed to expose and explain experiments involving stable magnetic levitation. Despite the well established Earnshaw's theorem, that avoids the levitation of magnetic and electrical charges in the presence of static electromagnetic and gravitational fields, one shows that there is at least two situations where the existence of diamagnetic materials provides a stable levitation configuration. In this sense, some experimental devices - composed by magnets, supports and diamagnetic boundaries - were set up and succeed in yielding stable levitation of magnetic bodies.</dd>
