Description
We discuss the <math>\varphi^4</math> and <math>\varphi^6</math> theory defined in a flat <math>D</math>-dimensional space-time. We assume that the system is in equilibrium with a thermal bath at temperature <math>\beta^{-1}</math>. To obtain non-perturbative result, the <math>1/N</math> expansion is used. The method of the composite operator (CJT) for summing a large set of Feynman graphs, is developed for the finite temperature system. The ressumed effective potential and the analysis of the <math>D=3</math> and <math>D=4</math> cases are given.
