<dd>Neste relatório apresentamos uma técnica, rápida e eficaz, de segmentação de imagens e realce de bordas com objetivo de aplicá-la em imagens de ultra-som e tomografia computadorizada da mama. Serão apresentados os conceitos desta técnica de segmentação por difusão inversa (SIDE, do inglês Stabilized Inverse Diffusion Equation), suas propriedades e os resultados obtidos na segmentação das imagens propostas.</dd>
